Migration questions, answered.
Will my Pipedrive account be modified?
No. The importer is read-only — it pulls data via the API but never writes back. Your Pipedrive account is untouched, and you can keep it open as long as you want.
What about my old Pipedrive data after I cancel?
Pipedrive lets you export everything as CSV before you cancel. TheCRM also imports those CSVs in case you'd rather migrate from a backup than via API.
Can I run both Pipedrive and TheCRM for a while?
Yes. TheCRM is local — after the import, it doesn't talk back to Pipedrive at all. Many people run Pipedrive for active deals while they migrate, then cancel Pipedrive once they're confident.
What if I have hundreds of custom fields?
v1 imports the standard Pipedrive fields. Custom-field import is on the roadmap. In the meantime, you can export custom-field data to CSV from Pipedrive and import that separately.
Will the import re-run if I add new deals to Pipedrive later?
TheCRM is a one-direction migration tool, not a sync. Once you've migrated, you keep your data in TheCRM going forward.
Can you import from HubSpot, Folk, or other CRMs?
Direct API import is built for Pipedrive specifically. For other CRMs, the path is: export CSV from your old tool → use TheCRM's CSV importer with column mapping. Works for HubSpot, Folk, Notion, and most others.
